Eighty MPH Mom In My Neighborhood Tuesday

Halloween is my absolute favorite time of the year!  I love Halloween more than Christmas, my birthday and even Tuesdays!!  Haha.  It is the one day that you can dress up to be anything you want, and don’t have to be you.

Listen to me.  Yes, I am a total fan of escaping reality.  That is part of who I am.  I enjoy being able to fantasize, dream, escape.  Makes sense that I love Halloween so much.

Here are what my children are going to be for Halloween this year.  We just bought their costumes last night, and made them try them on real fast before heading to bed.  Please don’t mind Ariana – it was well past her bedtime, so trying on her costume was not on the list of Fun Things To Do. And Konnor – well, he loves to dress up! =)

Bumblebee

I promise there will be more (better) pictures after Halloween is over.  But both of my babies will be Bumblebees, in some form or another.  I really tried my hardest to talk Konnor into Woody from Toy Story so Ariana could be Jesse, but I didn’t get what I wanted.  Darn kids and having their own opinions.  Haha!

Everyone have a safe and fun Halloween!! Remember to take flashlights, reflective gear so cars can see you, and check all candy before eating it!!!!

I know I wrote a post not too long ago about how Ariana is growing up.  How she isn’t a baby anymore and how her ever changing personality amazes me more and more every day.  Really, none of it has slowed down and I am finding it harder and harder to keep up!!

When her crib “broke”, we improvised.  We took off the “broken” part of the crib (which was just the railing) and bought a mesh bed rail so that she couldn’t fall out of bed.  That worked for a while, until she learned how to get down and out of her bed.  It wouldn’t have been so bad but then another part of the crib started to malfunction and finally, I didn’t trust her to sleep in it.

Konnor had been staying with Gram (my grandma) for a few days, so I decided we would test Ariana in a toddler bed while he was away.  So she slept in his almost flawlessly for 3 nights until I went out and bought her a toddler bed of her own.

I set it up today, and she is sleeping in it right now.

Where does the time go???  She is so big and grown up!!

Eighty MPH Mom In My Neighborhood Tuesday

Hello blogosphere!  It’s Tuesday again, which means In My Neighborhood Tuesday!!! Yayyy!!!

I missed last week all together, and I am soooooooo sorry about that!  I promise you that when I find my memory card that contains the pics I have of my mailboxes, I will get that post up.  Trust me, you don’t want to miss it.  Hahaha!

Anyways, this weeks assignment was In Flight. It was yet another vague but amazing assignment, and so I have more than a couple of pictures.  =)  Enjoy!  And as always, if you clicky the button at the top of this post,  you will be re-directed to the host of this fantastic meme.

Taking pictures of Ariana is always fun – she is such a flirt with the camera, no matter what mood she is in.

Over the weekend, I took pictures of her on the trampoline.  While there were many other photos that are cuter and more pose-ish than this one, there is something about this picture that I cannot get over.

Eighty MPH Mom In My Neighborhood Tuesday

*sings* “Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday!!! I love Tuesday!!!”

Haha, I am in a weird mood today, so don’t mind me.

Here we are for another installment of In My Neighborhood Tuesday.  October 5th, per the assignment list at Eighty MPH Mom, says today we are to take pics of Yellow Flowers.

Hmmm, that’s a pretty vague assignment.  LOVE IT!  Since the flower season isn’t really “in” here in Oregon, I went to my Flickr account and pulled off some of the yellow flowers that I spotted earlier this year.  Then, I figured, I would make different edits to each of them for a new “feel.”

Here is what I came up with:
